Two rooms in your home that are supposed to be beyond private, your bathroom and your bedroom, make sure it's that way. You probably have never really thought about it, but depending on how your bedroom looks now, it might be causing your stress to peak. Your stress reacts to how clean your room is, how organized, and even the colors and layout you currently have.

Alter the way you look at it for just a bit. The main purpose or your bedroom, is to relax, get away, take a break, love, and to sleep. Imagine how your sleep and life would change if when you entered your bedroom, you instantly felt relaxed and at peace rather than feeling like normal or worse.

When it comes to make a change like this, you should look to these things as a great guide for the best bedroom.

First, the atmosphere and lighting scheme can use a change. During the evening hours, you really want little light in your room. During the day, try to get your room to have as much natural lighting as possible, but ensure that it's really dark at night.

It's easy to soften the light form your lamps if you use bulbs with lower watts. You can even increase atmosphere by using some lightly colored bulbs as well.

Second, think about the sounds that you would love to hear when you are relaxing. Sounds machines are very advanced these days. These noises help to put your mind in a state of relaxing and rest while also acting like white noise and blocking out typically neighborhoods sounds like dogs barking.

For nighttime sounds, wind, water, rain, crickets are all good things to look for. There are even different tracks which help put your brain in a natural circadian rhythm so you can fall asleep faster.

Third, what you smell matters too. Two smells have been studied by scientists and proven to help, lavender and jasmine. Lavender has been shown to help men and women the most, but jasmine did pretty well too.

You can use oils or tee lights with smelling trays to help get your room full of the smell. Get a tiny fan to help push the scent around and keep it moving all night. The studies have proven that both these smells work so well because they increase the length of deep sleep you experience which is really important.

Finally, you want to have an allergy free room. This can be accomplished by using the right bedding materials and flooring. For bedding, there are a few naturally organic bedding that repel dust mites and molds. Silk sheets are you best bet and very luxurious as well.

Bamboo sheets are a really great option as well and they are a little more affordable compared to silk bedding. Also remember to consider your comforter and your mattress as well. Those two things on your bed are some of the major allergen hot zones.

What you have on your floor can actually make a difference too. It's so important to keep your floors really clean, but if your rugs are super old then it's a good idea to replace them too. Wood and tile are the best to use if at all possible.
